Overview

The 2010 Hummer H3 is a capable, comfortable four-door five-passenger midsize SUV available in Base, Adventure, Luxury, Alpha, and H3X trims. The H3 is one of the best selling Hummer SUVs with versatile on- and off-road capabilities. For 2010, the H3 is available with a 300-hp 5.3L V-8engine with E85 FlexFuel capability and variable valve timing. A front locking differential along with a locking rear differential has been incorporated in the off-road Adventure package. The H3T is a Crew Cab pick-up with a 5-foot cargo bed and room for five people.

Power and performance

A 239-hp 3.7-liter inline-five-cylinder engine with dual overhead cams and variable valve timing powers the 2010 Hummer H3. The 3.7-liter engine's torque is rated at 241 pounds-feet. The H3 Alpha employs a V8 engine rated at 300 hp and 320 pounds-feet of torque. Standard five-speed manual or four-speed automatic transmission; 4,500-pound towing capacity with inline-five-cylinder; 6,000-pound towing capacity with V8 engine; underbody skid plates; and standard full-time four-wheel drive are some of the H3?s other features. Hydra-Matic 4L60-E four-speed automatic transmission is standard on the Luxury trim and optional in the other models.

Body and styling

The 2010 Hummer H3 is a 100 per cent Hummer vehicle with various quality exterior, interior, and safety features. Cast aluminum wheels measuring 16 X 7.5 inches are standard while the chrome, polished wheels of the same measurement are optional. Body color grille is optional on the H3T trim while Appearance Package with chrome mirror caps, chrome door handles, and chrome wheels are standard on it. Some of the other optional features are Universal Remote with lighted vanity mirrors; rear view camera system; sliding glass sunroof; chrome appearance package; in-dash, 6-disc CD player (Base); Navigation Radio (Luxury); and fabric cargo cover (Base and Adventure).

Safety Features

With a lot of quality safety features, the OnStar system with 1-year Safe and Sound Service Plan is standard across all trims. However, OnStar system with Directions and Connections Plan is optional. Engine block heater is another optional feature.
