Overview

The 2010 Hummer H2 is a spacious, comfortable four-door SUV that strikes a balance between on- and off-road capabilities. Available in three trims - Base, Adventure, and Luxury ? the 2010 Hummer H2 can seat up to seven passengers.

Power and performance

A powerful 393-hp 6.2L V8 engine powers the 2010 Hummer H2. The engine is made of lightweight materials like aluminum cylinder block and uses Variable Valve Timing (VVT) technology to maximize performance and efficiency. A Hydra-Matic 6L80 6-speed automatic transmission is standard. An automatic self-leveling, air suspension system that works in conjunction with an on-board air compressor is an available option. It helps keep the SUV level under load, creates a longer suspension stroke for off-road operation, and makes for a steeper departure angle when conditions call for it.

Body and styling

A carryover from 2009, the 2010 Hummer H2 has a towing capacity of 8,200 lbs. Its full-time 4WD transfer case sends power to the front and rear, allowing the H2 to tow even in the toughest situations. Seventeen-inch painted aluminum wheels are standard on the Base and Adventure trims. The 17-inch polished aluminum wheels are optional on the Adventure. Inside, Bluetooth for phone; leather-appointed seats with eight-way power adjustment for front passengers; fold-down 60/40 split second-row seat; five power points; dual-zone heating; ventilation; and air conditioning; in-dash, 6-disc CD player; seating for five; power lock doors; and cruise control are standard. A full third-row seat for two passengers is standard on the Luxury trim while it is optional on the Base and Adventure. Also, a rear-seat overhead DVD system is optional on the Base and Adventure trims, but standard on the Luxury.

Safety Features

The state-of-the-art OnStar system is one of main key safety features. A rear vision camera system is standard on the Luxury trim, optional on the Base and Adventure. Dual front air bags; head curtain side air bags with rollover sensing system; remote keyless entry with panic button; content alarm theft-deterrent system; PASSlock theft-deterrent vehicle safety system; LATCH; StabiliTrac Electronic Stability Control System; daytime running lamps; tire pressure monitoring system; and Hummer 100,000-mile/5-year transferable Powertrain Limited Warranty are also other standard features on the 2010 Hummer H2.
